Ted Turner Takes on Big Media

In this Washington Monthly editorial, media mogul Ted Turner takes on the Big Media industry he helped create, arguing consolidation and complacency has made it as fat and lazy as the folks watching their programs. It is a interesting read, and Turner makes a number of good points about how gradually loosened regulation has brought about the current state of media superpowers and essentially squashed independent start-ups along with the creative energy they bring.
